Gemini Watermark Size and Position at Every Resolution

Last updated 2026-10-21

The Gemini sparkle is always a square in the bottom-right corner. Its size and its distance from the edges depend on which image model made the picture and at what resolution. These are the values our Gemini watermark remover checks when it looks for the sparkle.

Quick reference

“Edge gap” is the distance from the sparkle’s square to the right edge and to the bottom edge. So on a 1024×1024 image with a 48 px sparkle, the square starts at x = 944 and y = 944 (1024 − 32 − 48).

Exceptions you may run into

You don’t need to work out which case you have. The remover tries the likely sizes and positions and picks the one that matches the pattern in your image.

Why the exact size matters

Removing the sparkle exactly means reversing its transparency pixel by pixel, so the pattern has to line up with the image to the pixel. That only works on the original download. If an image was resized, cropped or screenshotted, the sparkle no longer has one of these sizes or positions and automatic removal can’t match it. The troubleshooting guide explains what to do then.

Veo videos

Veo videos made in the Gemini app carry the same sparkle in the bottom-right corner, at the same place on every frame. The remover finds it once on a few early frames and then removes it from the whole clip. See how to remove the Veo watermark.
