How to remove the Nano Banana watermark

  1. Drop your fileChoose the image or video you made with Nano Banana. It opens right in this tab; nothing is uploaded.
  2. Let it find the markAutomatic mode locates the watermark and computes the pixels underneath. There is nothing to select.
  3. DownloadPreview the result and save it. Videos come back as MP4 with the original audio.

Where is the Nano Banana watermark?

Nano Banana exports from the Gemini app use the Gemini sparkle in the bottom-right corner. The automatic mode detects its size and position from the image dimensions.

What this tool does, and what it doesn’t

It removes the visible Nano Banana mark from content you generated yourself, for example to use a clip in a presentation, a thumbnail or an edit. It does not touch invisible provenance signals, and it is not for stock photos or anyone else’s copyrighted work. If you publish AI-generated media, label it as AI-generated where your platform or local law requires it.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with Nano Banana Pro images?

If the image shows the standard Gemini sparkle, automatic mode handles it. For any other mark, use "Select area" mode and paint over it.

Can I stop Gemini from adding the watermark?

Yes, for new files. Since August 2026 Gemini has a Media watermark setting in its menu: set it to Off and new images and videos come without the visible sparkle (not available in some countries, such as India, South Korea and Vietnam). Files you already made keep their sparkle, and this tool removes it. See our guide “How to turn off the Gemini watermark”.

Does this remove SynthID or other invisible watermarks?

No, and it is not designed to. The tool only cleans up the visible logo. SynthID lives in the pixels and stays in place, and for images the file’s C2PA content credentials are copied into the cleaned file, so it can still be identified as AI-generated. Cleaned videos are re-encoded and don’t carry over the original file’s metadata yet.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Processing runs on your own device inside the browser tab. Your image or video is never sent to our servers, and closing the tab discards it.
